My name is Hayden Sims VK4NU.

I’m currently living in Brisbane, Australia. I moved here in 2020 and had a temporary Amateur license with call-sign VK4AAF until it expired in 2021 at which time I gained my full VK callsign which is now VK4NU. I sill retain my New Zealand call-sign ZL2WD.

Below is some of  the gear I use. This is all in portable use as I can not have any antennas at my QTH. I may look at loop antenna one day.

I use a 8ah Lead Acid and 12ah Lithium batteries with these radios and I also have a back up 100ah Lithium Battery in my car if required.

Attend our club 2m SSB net. Need to get a VHF antenna the mobile whip is not doing so good... If anyone can suggest a VHF antenna for portable use i.e. stick on car when stationary that be awesome #hamradio #ssbnet #AmateurRadio
